Today’s CHIT CHAT series was a synopsis a recent article that was published reviewing the evidence behind diets for weight loss. You can access the full article by Dr. Rachel Freire below

Scientific evidence of diets for weight loss: Different macronutrient composition, intermittent fasting, and popular diets

Dr. Freire separated diets based on: 

  • Manipulations of Macronutrients (Keto, Low-carb, Atkins) 
  • Restriction or elimination of foods and/or Food Groups (Paleo, Gluten-free, plant-based) 
  • Timing Restrictions (Fasting) 


During this chit chat series I did a brief review of the finding of the study and why these diets get so much hype around them, why are they effective and importance of adherence.
